DIY: Embriodered Canvas

This project just really came out of me being completely bored and feeling the desperate need to craft. It's really not too hard and it does take a little time, but the outcome is definitely worth it....100% GUARENTEE.

So to get a fantastic looking canvas all you have to do is this:

Step 1- Paint the canvas and let dry

Step 2- Draw a design on the canvas lightly with a pencil ( Don't worry if you think you've just messed up your whole project with one wrong mark, it WILL erase)

Step 3- Pick out some corresponding colors in embroidary thread and just stitch along the sketch you drew.

ANNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDD....WAH LAH! A brand new peice of wall art that you designed yourself.

Other than doing a few crafts here and there I've been taking care of my adorable new puppy Izzie. She is a loveble German Shepherd who spends most of her time finding things to chew on.

Last weekend Brian, Izzie, and I all went camping at El Dorado lake. It was a beautiful weekend and such a fun time.

Such a good little camper!

OOooooo La La...They're Gonna Know Our Name

This is a story of two budding fashion designers named Stephanie and Tonya:
Here we are!

We got the opportunity to be a part of a fashion photo shoot featuring some of our designs. The hope being that the photos will be selected for a fashion magazine. (fingers crossed)

The 8 hour photo shoot was shot by the very talented David Page.
The photographer, David Page, and his daughter who appears to be a photographer in the making.

We had an amazing team of models and hair and makeup artist to make the day a success.

The photo shoot was great and I am so excited to see the outcome of everything. More backstage photo shoot pictures to come, so watch out for them.

Mi Familia

After my getaway to Savannah, my sister picked me up and brought me back to spend the next few days with her family. It was my first time visiting her in South Carolina and I had a wonderful time.

Me and my Cutie-Patootie

I love this little girl. Nora is the absolute cutest.
Aidan is my little handsome man. He kept telling me how much he liked having me at his house. Melted my heart. I love this guy.

Of course my sister and I couldn't hang out without spending some time crafting. I painted and
mod-podeged this canvas. I had a great time make this. It's a great summer project.

Here's To Savannah

This summer started off with a bang. Two days after I finished my spring semester, I left for vacation adventure with my best friend, Karen, to Savannah, GA. It was our first big trip and we hope there are many more to come over the years. We stayed in a beautiful hotel and spent our days exploring the city.  It's a gorgeous little town with beautiful park squares and quaint little shops. It was a memorable trip and I'd definitely recommend Savannah as a great little vacation spot.

Unfortunately we missed this fashion show by a weekend!

Oh so pretty...

And after my lovely vacation, I came back to the world of reality of working full time 6 days a week. It was an amazing trip and just what I needed to start off my summer.
